Athletics
Cambridge Academy supports the belief that a” no-cut” sports program provides an opportunity for all students to shine on the field. The school offers three seasons of athletic competition as well as three times weekly Physical Education programs for all students. The Nelson B. Cromer Athletic Award is given each year in loving memory of Cambridge Academy Cougar, Nelson Cromer. This award is presented to a young man, like Nelson, that is strong of character, an independent thinker, determined, willingly involved, and one who loves and is loyal to Cambridge Academy.
The Brigid Sheets Award is given each year in loving memory of Cambridge Academy Cougar, Brigid Sheets. This award is presented to a cheerleader, like Brigid, that is always involved and willing to lend a hand, has a drive to achieve, displays compassion for others, and has an exuberant warm spirit.
