Greenwoodgives.org is a new website that is underwritten by the Greenwood County Community Foundation. Mrs. Gardner is the first CA teacher to submit a project for funding. She is trying to raise $750 to purchase a colorful new rug for the music room. Students currently use 5 lines of yellow tape to practice note reading and this rug would enhance classroom learning. Please check out the website and be on the lookout for other CA teachers to submit projects of their own.

Many individuals contributed as well, and we are equally thankful to them. The listing above is only of businesses that contributed. There may have been businesses that contributed to a class basket that the auction committee is unaware of. If you know of a business that contributed to a class basket and is not listed above, please let us know as we would love to include them and give them our thanks. Again, please consider supporting the businesses that continually support Cambridge Academy.

If you are in the process of spring cleaning and have “stuff” to get rid of, we have a solution for you! Coach Worrock is working hard to get our weight room cleaned out, organized, and more user friendly. In the weight room, he would like to include a lounge / study area for our athletes. If you have any old sofas, chairs (even wooden adirondack style would be great), end tables, magazine racks, …book shelves, etc please let Coach Worrock know and he will come and get them from you. We know that beggars can not be choosers, but school colored items or furniture that can be easily recovered would be great. He is also looking for a refrigerator and any type of athletic prints or posters. Thanks in advance for your consideration!

You can find a link on the homepage of this website.

2012 – 2013 Annual Fund Challenge: Our 2012 -2013 Annual Fund Campaign is now underway. Our goal this year is $85,000. As an independent school, we must rely on the Annual Fund to purchase the many “extras” that makes Cambridge Academy such a special place for our students, faculty, and families. With everyone’s support of the Annual Fund, we can make those “extras” happen! We want this year to go down in the record books as the first year to reach 100% participation of our various groups (parents, alumni classes, grandparents, faculty, board of trustees, etc). This can happen! Every gift counts! In keeping with the 100% goal, we are issuing our very first 100% challenge. The first class to reach 100% parent participation will win a $50 ITunes Gift Card to be used to purchase apps for their brand new class IPad!
