The journey from Kindergarten to Fifth grade is one that starts with small steps and ends with long strides. Cambridge Academy faculty is privileged to watch young students arrive on the first day of their K5 year as they take those first small, tentative steps toward their new classroom, usually holding mom and dad’s hand, knowing that a new world is waiting for them with homework, and library books to check out, and workbooks to complete. Then, each August, we see them return with longer and longer strides, no longer holding mom and dad’s hands, but running to their classroom to find old friends and a new teacher. These Cougars, no longer apprehensive of new experiences, are ready to meet the challenges of a new year.
