Cambridge Academy's Drama program has a tradition of excellence. Our students, led by Anna Lethco and Ryan Hewitt, have won the SCISA State Drama competition for the last five years. The passion and commitment the students have for the performing arts shine through in every performance sponsored by the school. In addition to the State Drama Competition, our students participate in other competitions throughout the year.
The culmination of the Drama department is the production of the school's spring musical. In past years, the students have performed Annie and Shrek, and this year students will be presenting Seussical the Musical. The spring musical is a collaboration between the Drama Club and the 6th and 7th grade drama classes. Each year, 6th and 7th grad students spend the year being exposed to different genres of theater, concepts in acting, and the backstage skills needed to put on a dramatical production. Each year, Cambridge has a few students who develop a life-long love for the stage from their experiences with our Drama Department.
