Thank you!
Cambridge Academy has a new bench on campus, given by the Blair family in memory of Grant Blair (1942-2024) of Ninety Six. Grant was the grandfather of 4th-grader Ronin Blair and the father-in-law of our 3rd-grade teacher, Mrs. Blair.
Grant never stopped learning. He studied textile chemistry at NC State, earned a master's in industrial engineering at the University of Tennessee and spent 36 years with Monsanto. He could finish a novel in an hour or two, and he spent years speaking up for Lake Greenwood.
The bench carries words that suit him and suit a school: "When one teaches, two learn." We hope our students and teachers will sit there to read, talk and learn from each other.
Thank you to the Blair family for this gift.
Thank you!
A heartfelt thank you to the Darley family for generously donating to have our gym ceiling painted, and to Carolina Brush LLC for their excellent work. Your generosity and support help make Cambridge Academy an even place for our students, faculty, and staff. We are so grateful for community partners who invest in our school. Thank you for making a difference!
